context

The renewable energy, heavy industrial, mining, tunnelling, oil & gas, and power transmission industries are all pursuing the significant financial, efficiency, environmental and safety benefits that can be derived from autonomous/remote operation combined with smart/intelligent systems of learning. A key to realising these benefits is the commercial availability of technologies that enable the integrated transmission of both electrical power to, and high-bandwidth data to and from the machine in a highly flexible format.

CONNEC

The world’s first Medium Voltage Connector System (MVCS) that maintains cable construction “end to end”, takes advantage of polymer materials, and facilitates both electrical power and single-mode fibre from the cable through the connector enabling flexible ‘plug and play’ solutions.

OUR HISTORY

2013

CONNEC FOUNDED

CONNEC Pty Ltd founded by three industry experts with over 93 years of experienced combined.

2014

PROTOTYPE & PATENT

Completion of engineering and feasibility review before moving into prototyping. We then moved on to patenting the technology and certifying our products.

2019

FIRST SALE

First commercial order received to supply bolted 11 kV system to Ensham Mine with full operational use & certification by August the same year.

2020

ANGLO AMERICAN PARTNERSHIP

We revolutionised the way fibre cables are connected. With our new ANZEx and IECEx certified bolted plugs & adaptors we’re unlocking new ways to connect and protect

2022

PRODUCT EXPANSION & GROWTH

Patent portfolio revised to include single-mode fibre connector across entire product range. Our range grows to 6 products.
